Monthly Contest

Every week, I will send out an email to all contributors to invite you all to join in with our monthly contest. It is very much a pay what you can contest. The minimum is £1 per submission (for this we accept poetry, prose and non-fiction), there are no limits on how many times you can submit, and if you feel you want to, or can donate more to our fund, then know that we (me, my wonderful reader Susie, the journal and the journal cat) are very grateful. The winners will receive 90% of however much we make each month through our contest!

 NOTE: I'm deeply passionate about journals who do not pay writers for their hard work. We are one of those journals who cannot afford to pay writers because I just don't make any money from it myself to be able to pay out to the writers who deserve this just as much.

For transparency, the money (and this is very minimal, as yet £4 has been made from this journal) made by selling the e-book copies of this book is split. Half goes to my "paying writers in the future" pot, and the other half goes into the pot which I will need to be able to produce a collection of the work received so far. This will be a physical copy of the work, and I am still in the stages of choosing how best to go about this (any ideas from seasoned journal editors welcomed!)
