Run by Oxford English graduate, avid-reader, artist and gardener Tilly Highsmith and her cat, Pickles, (the "we" of The Good Life Journal (inspired by the 70's TV programme) are looking for writing that inspires, intrigues, and give us an escape from the world as we know it.

The Good Life Journal was born in lockdown from a need to connect with the simpler things in life - good books, poetry, and abundance of self-care. We publish short, weekly anthologies of work from twenty writer's of fiction, non-fiction and poetry.

The best of the bunch will be collated into a larger anthology which we will publish four times a year. The collections will be available to purchase for £4.00 and each contributor will receive a free e-book of the issue.

Please note we are unable to pay contributors at this time, as the money raised from our journal publication's will cover our costs until we reach a time (hopefully in the not too distant future!) when we can pay our contributors as strongly believe in lifting up and supporting the writing community, particularly those from an underrepresented or rarely heard from minority group.
